Exotic Poland: Podlasie – Trzcianne

There is a small village in Podlasie, the remote and almost forgotten part of Poland. The village name is Trzcianne. In this small village there is a house with quite peculiar owners. Once a year they invite all their friends and the friends of friends to come and visit the village, share their experiences and knowledge. You will find there all possible professions: farmers, jugglers, painters, musicians, motorcycle freaks and tattoo professionals. It is a festival of music, friendship and art. The perfect opportunity to master you photographic skills and your ability to retell the story with your pictures! We invite you to Karczak!

July 10

Arrival, meeting with the group and our photographer – Radek Polak. Check out of the photographic equipment, establishing the goals for each participant of the workshop.

July 11

Work in the field supervised by Radek Polak. Early arrival to the festival spot. All participants of the workshop are free to take part in all festival events, concerts and attractions. All day long work on our photo reports, individual photo consultations, selection and edition of the material.

July 12

In the morning photo edition, later additional photo sessions and in the evening – return to Warsaw.

RADEK POLAK

Radek Polak  born 1975 is a graduate of Photography at the Multimedia Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań,
As a commercial artist he regularly photographs celebrities from the world of culture, science and politics. His photographs are published in national press both in Poland and in Georgia (Elle, Esquire, Gala, MALE MAN, Twój Styl,
Anabechdi and Hot Chocolate). He portrayed among many other Ewan Mcgregor, Patrick Swayze, Władysław Bartoszewski, Wojciech Pszoniak, Daniel Olbrychski, Andrzej Seweryn , Ingolf Wunder, Rafał Olejniczak, Krystyna Sienkiewicz, Janusz Gajos, Kazimierz Kutz.    He was awarded the first prize in Best lifestyle cover category of the Grand Front Awards, Poland. In 2009 he was a jury member of Kolga Photo Festival.
He also shoots advert campaigns for biggest polish and international clients such as: SAMSUNG, SHOWMAX, TMOBILE, ING BANK, BZWBK, PEUGOT, KAUFLAND, CASTORAMA, DBBANK,  LOT Polish Airlines, and many more
One of Radek’s  photo stories was awarded a honorable mention at the International Photography Awards and then published in prestigious aCurator magazine. In 2012 he started a 3-years’ photographic work on „Georgian Taste”, a book on Georgian culture, people and cuisine. The book got published in Poland in 2015.
